SAJA Pharma is a leading regional pharmaceutical manufacturer based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with presence throughout the MENA region. It is committed to continuously provide high-quality pharmaceutical products through state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Saudi Arabia and Egypt, and to enrich the patient’s journey and maximize treatment options by providing high-quality treatments at an affordable price across various therapy areas.

Curtin University prides itself on being recognised nationally and internationally for excellence in education and research. Curtin is ranked in the top one percent of universities worldwide in the highly regarded Academic Ranking of World Universities 2022. Curtin’s campus in Dubai was launched in 2017, with an offering of programs in Business, Engineering, IT, Psychology, and Humanities.

With a shared interest to support their communities, SAJA and Curtin Dubai formalized their relationship with a Memorandum of Understanding that will allow both parties to benefit through training programs, internship and placement for students, and exchange of knowledge and research opportunities.

“SAJA is among the top 25 pharmaceutical companies in the GCC with a 21st rank in both the UAE and KSA, and a 19th rank in Kuwait. SAJA has had sustained double-digit growth over the last 5 years despite the global pandemic. We believe that there is a need to further enhance the knowledge and skills of the medical community so that they can serve patients to the best of their abilities. This is not limited to clinical aspects; it also includes improving their knowledge in non-clinical areas such as Pharmacoeconomics, inventory management, and even personal leadership and management skills.

Collaboration with a reputable institution such as Curtin University and signing a Memorandum of Understanding with them will facilitate this knowledge enhancement. Furthermore, we are striving to help the younger generation gain more experience at their starting points, and there is an opportunity to acquire talented people to work with our organization, so we will be able to achieve a win-win situation.” stated Mahmood Ghaly, General Manager – SAJA GCC & Yemen Cluster.

The signing took place at Curtin Dubai’s campus in Dubai International Academic City and coincided with the 25th jubilee celebration of SAJA Pharma and the centennial celebration of Tamer Group (KSA); a positive occasion to take a step towards another milestone for the Group.
