An engineering manager’s role may focus more on the processes of project realisation and on managing teams,
than on technical input. They may also be involved at the beginning stages of a project to determine project feasibility.
The Master of Engineering Management program meets a specific need in industry for engineers with project
management competencies who can lead on engineering projects in any sector focusing on both technical excellence and management ability in equal measure. It is jointly taught by staff from the Faculty of Science and Engineering and the Faculty of Business and Law. This course is suitable for those who are seeking better career opportunities and promotion in the field of engineering or are looking to establish their own
engineering firm.
