Following the latest announcement by the UAE Government, Curtin Dubai will continue to conduct all classes and campus operations remotely until Friday, 3 April 2026. This decision is part of a national effort to ensure the safety and well-being of our community.
Teaching & Learning Continuity
- Trimester 1 & Semester 1: All classes will remain 100% online from Monday, 23 March to Friday, 3 April 2026.
- Semester 1 Students: Subject to government direction, face-to-face teaching is tentatively planned to resume on Monday, 20 April 2026, following the two-week study break.
- Transition Support: Upon the eventual return to campus, the University may offer classes in a blended mode for a short duration to support students during the transition. Further guidance will be provided next week.
Examinations and Assessments
All invigilated exams, tests, and assignment deadlines scheduled during this remote period will be conducted online or deferred to a later date within the semester/trimester.
Students are advised to refer to the detailed communication sent to their Curtin inbox for further guidance on trimester-specific arrangements.
All university support services remain accessible through digital platforms:
- Academic support: Students can access the Student Success Centre (SSC) for online study sessions and research guidance.
- Wellbeing: Psychology-led support, including stress-management resources, remains available.
- Library: One-on-one support for the UAE’s largest online library database is available remotely.
- Careers: Online career guidance and virtual employability sessions with industry partners are ongoing.

Curtin Dubai continues to conduct all classes and campus operations online until Sunday, 22 March 2026.
Subject to further direction from the UAE Government, the University plans to resume face-to-face teaching on Monday, 23 March 2026. To support students during this transition, classes from 23 March to 3 April 2026 will be delivered in a blended mode. This flexibility is provided to accommodate students who may be unable to attend on campus immediately. Students are expected to return to campus when full face-to-face classes resume after this period.
Invigilated exams, tests, or assignment deadlines scheduled during the remote period will be conducted online where possible. If online delivery is not possible, assessments will be deferred and rescheduled within the trimester. Students should contact their lecturers directly for specific assessment requirements.

Clarification has been received from the authorities regarding the recent MoHESR announcement on the early spring break.
In line with this guidance, Curtin Dubai will continue remote learning until Sunday, 22 March 2026, and all classes and campus operations will continue to be conducted online during this period.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will share further updates as additional guidance becomes available. Please note that, subject to improvement in the situation and further direction from the UAE Government, the University may be required to resume face-to-face teaching from Monday, 23 March 2026. Students will be expected to return when on-campus classes resume.
Any invigilated exams, tests, or assignment deadlines scheduled during this period will be conducted online where possible or deferred and rescheduled to a later date within the trimester, where required. Students are advised to contact their lecturer directly regarding specific assessment requirements.
All in-person on-campus and external engagements scheduled during this period will also be deferred to a later date. Revised arrangements will be communicated in due course.
