History of the campus
Curtin Dubai’s campus was launched in the heart of Dubai International Academic City (DIAC), an area considered an incubation space for higher education institutions to grow before moving into standalone or purpose-built campuses.

Curtin University Dubai is currently undergoing a campus expansion at Dubai International Academic City, increasing its capacity by 50%.
The new wing will include a 3,600 sq ft lecture theatre, an industrial-style Design Studio, a Future Technologies Centre that will explore the frontiers of AI, robotics, and sustainability. The Engineering Pavilion in Dubai Silicon Oasis will be relocated to DIAC, to facilitate inter-disciplinary research activities and to increase student engagement.
At its core will be a vibrant new student space, complete with learning pods, collaborative lounges, and a mental health and wellbeing hub.
“The next five years will be transformative for Curtin Dubai. We are introducing more academic programs in priority areas such as health sciences, cyber security, artificial intelligence, expanding capacity on campus, and launching a new Design School that will cater to the region’s growing demand for creative and technical skills. As we grow, we’re focused on strengthening Curtin’s reputation across the Middle East, building on our commitment to academic excellence and innovation,” says Professor Ammar Kaka, President and Pro Vice-Chancellor of Curtin University Dubai.
