GCC Education Leaders Summit honours Dr Khyati Shetty

Curtin University Dubai’s Dr Khyati Shetty, Head of School of Business and School of Arts was awarded the prestigious Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation Award at the 2019 GCC Leader’s Summit.

The award was presented in recognition of her contribution to Learning and Development in the United Arab Emirates. Dr Shetty has contributed immensely to the Emiratisation initiative launched by the UAE Government that mandates the inclusion of its citizens in a meaningful and efficient manner in the public and private sectors. Emiratisation is one of the 11 Key Performance Indicators of achieving the Government of UAE’s Vision 2021, which calls for shift to a diversified and knowledge-based economy.

She has coached and trained over 300 female Emirati professionals over a period of 8 eight years at 7 leading organizations. These awards are a nod to all leaders for their commendable work in fields of education, learning, and development in the UAE; and Dr Shetty is noteworthy recipient.

Dr Shetty, is also a recipient of numerous teaching and industry accolades, including the Global Training and Leadership Award-2017, GCC Women Leaders Award-2017, and Top 100 Global Training and Development Minds-2018.  She is an Executive Coach, Innovation Facilitator and Leadership Consultant to several governments and has conducted 250+ Executive Education Programs around the globe. Her research interests are in the areas of Brand Personality and Women’s Entrepreneurship, and her sustained commitment to impactful research on Women and Leadership has led to her initiatives being recognized by the Diana Project-2018 and several leading journals and conferences.
