Obtaining official recognition of your participation in a Curtin Extra approved program is a valuable tool in demonstrating your skills and experiences to potential employers.
Curtin Extra Digital Badge
If you are eligible for Curtin Extra recognition, you will earn a digital badge that you can instantly share with your networks and use to showcase your participation and skills to current and future employers.
You can earn multiple badges if you meet the requirements for more than one program.
Curtin Extra Certificate
You will receive your official Curtin Extra Certificate as part of your graduation documents, which are issued under the authority of the Academic Registrar at Curtin University.
Prior to graduation, you can view and print your Curtin Extra eRecord on OASIS.
Getting started
Getting started is as simple as browsing the Curtin Extra programs available to you. If you find one you’re interested in, contact the program coordinator for details about joining and how to participate as part of Curtin Extra.
Available throughout your degree, you can participate in more than one Curtin Extra approved program, taking into account your course load and other commitments.
Approved programs
Whether you want to compete with the Curtin Motorsport Team, donate your time with Curtin Volunteers! or take on a leadership role with a faculty related program, you can tailor your Curtin Extra experience to suit.

What else do I need to know?
If you are eligible to participate, the program coordinator will confirm your details to the Curtin Extra team.
You will receive a Welcome to Curtin Extra email which includes a link to UniHub where you must:
Log your hours
Complete your modules (if required)
Complete your reflection (if required)

Program Requirements
Each Curtin Extra approved program belongs to a skills development stream. There are five streams: Global Citizenship, Innovation and Enterprise, Leadership, Social Impact and Professional Development.
The Curtin Extra framework also recognises each program up to a maximum tier level: 1, 2 or 3.

Student Deadlines For programs that run on a 12 months basis, your participation period will be as follows:
1 December to 30 November – deadline to complete Curtin Extra requirements is 30 November
1 July to 30 June – deadline to complete Curtin Extra requirements is 30 June
For programs that run on a semester basis, your participation period will be as follows:
1 December to 30 June – deadline to complete Curtin Extra requirements is 30 June
1 July to 30 November – deadline to complete Curtin Extra requirements is 30 November
You are responsible for completing your Curtin Extra requirements by the relevant deadline.
Curtin Extra records are updated once a year at the end of your participation period (end of August or end of January), at which time your Curtin Extra eRecord will be available and Curtin Extra digital stamp will be issued.

Curtin Extra eRecord To view your Curtin Extra eRecord, please go to the My Campus tab in OASIS.
Curtin Extra Certificate Your completion of Curtin Extra approved programs will appear on the official Curtin Extra Certificate.
If you are graduating, your Curtin Extra Certificate will be posted to your preferred mailing address as recorded in OASIS, in line with the Graduation Office mailout dates (end of September or end of March). Please ensure you keep your contact details updated.
You can also purchase a copy of your Curtin Extra Certificate through the ‘Order Official Documents’ tab in OASIS.

If you are on exchange at Curtin, you will need to order your Curtin Extra Certificate through the ‘Order Official Documents’ tab in OASIS.
