Curtin Dubai’s foundation course is a pathway program that runs full time and is designed to support students when they progress into their undergraduate degree. This may also be used for admission into other international undergraduate programs, however, the student must speak with our Future Students’ Centre and their University of choice to confirm the same.
This foundation course in Dubai offers a unique opportunity for high school students who wish to engage in an internationally collaborative environment centered around critical thinking, research, writing, computer productivity and mathematical foundations, preparing you for direct entry into the undergraduate program of your choice at Curtin University Dubai.
Curtin Dubai provides the option to choose a pathway program based on your targeted undergraduate major. Additionally, there is the option to choose from the range of specialized topics below:
- Foundation in Engineering & Hard Sciences
- Foundation in Information Technology
- Foundation in Business & Humanities
- Foundation in Arts & Media
- Foundation in Psychology
The foundation program is suitable for high school students who have completed year 11 (IGCSE’s/O Levels).
Foundation Course Admission Requirements
The academic and language requirements for this foundation program in Dubai are to have successfully completed Grade 11, 5 IGCSE/GCSE/O-levels with a grade of C or better and achieve an IELTS overall band score of 5.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in each band, or equivalent if you choose to go for the Business, IT or Engineering paths.
If you choose to study foundation in Dubai within the Media & Arts specifications, then you will need to achieve an IELTS overall band score of 6.0 with a minimum of 6.0 in each band, or equivalent.
