The transition to university can be difficult, therefore, Teaching & Learning Coordinators from the department are available on-campus and online, to help guide you through a broad range of academic topics, ensuring your learning experience at Curtin University Dubai is a successful one.
The coordinators will help you develop university level confidence on assignment skills, studying independently and time management. Additionally, the Student Success Centre will guide you along your learning curve by honing the skills particular to your degree programme, including academic writing, researching, and presenting.
To ensure students understand the expectations placed on them at university, weekly workshops are delivered on important academic integrity topics, such as referencing, paraphrasing and understanding plagiarism.
If, however, you prefer online support, Curtin University has an abundance of resources at your disposal.
Online tools such as UniSkills and 23 Things, which are available on the Curtin Online Library, will not only help prepare you for assignments but will also enable you to learn a wide range of additional skills, from numeracy and digital skills to statistics, coding and more. Live feedback tools such as Studiosity are also available, under individual units, to provide you with 24×7 assignment support.
