A big congratulations to one of our Mechanical Engineering students Anwer Ahmed, who won “1st Runner-Up” in the RAL (Region-at-Large) Project Competition, sponsored by ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers) organised by Manipal Academy of Higher Education.
The competition was held virtually between the 26th and 31st of October and was based on HVAC (Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), wherein competitors had to present a concept. Anwer and his teammate Keerthana Dana Sekaran decided on “microcontroller based smart energy monitoring system”.
Let’s hear from Anwer himself, “I always love to participate in my goal-related competitions. It was an amazing opportunity for me to participate in a competition organized by ASHRAE- an international organization working on heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Along with this, I have already participated in two other competitions and this was possible because of our Professor, Dr Pon, my fellow team members, and Curtin University Dubai. This kind of opportunity is making us more confident and practical and I hope it will help a lot to reach our aim”.
Curtin Dubai takes pride in recognizing accomplishments and rewarding students.
