Curtin Dubai’s Foundation Program is a full-time pathway designed to support students as they transition into their undergraduate degree. It may also be used for admission into other international undergraduate programs; however, students must consult with our Future Students’ Centre and their university of choice to confirm specific requirements.
This foundation program offers a unique learning experience for high school students seeking an internationally collaborative environment focused on critical thinking, research, academic writing, computer productivity, and mathematical foundations. It prepares you for direct entry into the undergraduate program of your choice at Curtin University Dubai.
Curtin Dubai offers a choice of pathway streams aligned to your intended undergraduate major. Students may select from the following specialised foundations:
Students interested in Architecture and Interior Design can begin their journey through the Curtin Dubai Foundation Program in September 2026, offered under the Foundation in Design stream.
Students who complete this Foundation pathway will have guaranteed progression into the bachelor’s degree upon meeting the academic requirements.
Foundation Program Admission Requirements
The minimum academic requirement for entry into the Foundation Program is successful completion of any of the following (or equivalent):
Grade 11
Five IGCSE/GCSE/O-levels with a grade of C or better
Accepted English qualifications include:
IGCSE/O-level English with a grade of C or higher
SAT score of 1000, with no band less than 400
IB English with a score of 4
English proficiency tests are also accepted.
For Business, IT or Engineering pathways: IELTS overall 5.5, with no band lower than 5.0, or equivalent
For Media & Arts pathways: IELTS overall 6.0, with a minimum of 6.0 in each band, or equivalent
Scholarships for the Foundation Program
Curtin Dubai provides tuition grants up to AED 10,000 to students enrolling in the Foundation Program. Please contact admissions@curtindubai.ac.ae to check your eligibility.
