Curtin University Dubai is proud to announce a strategic partnership with Zoho, a global technology company and pioneer in cloud-based business applications, to advance digital literacy and practical learning among students. This collaboration underscores Curtin’s commitment to integrating industry expertise into academic experiences, empowering students with the tools and knowledge required to thrive in the digital economy.

Through this partnership, third-year students at Curtin Dubai will be introduced to Zoho Creator, the company’s flagship low-code development platform. The initiative is designed to help students build real-world applications, develop digital solutions with ease, and gain a deeper understanding of the software systems shaping today’s business environments.

“We’re excited to partner with Curtin University Dubai on this dynamic upskilling initiative designed to equip third-year students with the essential skills for today’s digital landscape,” said Prem Anand Velumani, Associate Director, Strategic Alliances at Zoho Middle East and Africa (MEA). “Through the introduction of Zoho Creator, our low-code development platform, we aim to make app development more accessible and intuitive, empowering young innovators across the MENA region. By embedding this as a core soft skill, we’re helping prepare students to thrive in the future of work. This collaboration underscores our commitment to fostering the next generation of tech-driven creators, enabling them to build impactful solutions with speed, creativity, and confidence.”

As part of the rollout, students will receive hands-on training and participate in workshops led by Zoho’s experts. The platform will also be integrated into relevant coursework across the business and computing disciplines, giving students the opportunity to apply their learning to solve real-life business challenges.

“This partnership represents a significant step forward in how we prepare our students for the future of work,” said Professor Ammar Kaka, Pro Vice Chancellor and President at Curtin University Dubai. “At Curtin, we are constantly evolving our academic offerings to ensure they remain relevant and industry-informed. Collaborating with an innovative and forward-looking company like Zoho allows us to introduce our students to cutting-edge platforms, strengthen their digital capabilities, and encourage innovation within the classroom. We look forward to seeing the impact our students will create through this initiative.”

The collaboration also opens doors to potential internship and career opportunities for students within Zoho’s regional ecosystem, while reinforcing Curtin Dubai’s mission to deliver globally relevant education with strong industry connections.
