
Are you ready to unlock your potential as an engineer? Join us for the inaugural Curtin Dubai Engineering Bootcamp, an intensive hands-on program designed for passionate high school students who want to explore the world of engineering.
This bootcamp will challenge and inspire you with interactive workshops, exciting projects, and practical skills that will set the foundation for a future in engineering. Limited to only 30 students, this is your chance to be part of something special.
This event is open to all and free to attend, and certificates of participation will be provided upon attending all modules.

Registrations are open now! However, only 30 students will be shortlisted for this exclusive bootcamp.

Note:
• Keep your Passport & EID copy handy when completing the registration.
• An NOC from the parent/legal guardian is also requested in the form.
• You will be able to access the NOC form at the time of registration.
Program Rules
• Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Students will be shortlisted from submissions due to limited slots available.
• This program is designed for high school students in Grade 11 & above. The concepts are too advanced for younger grades.
• Successfully shortlisted students must attend all days of the coding camp, which will be delivered over the week. Attendance will be tracked daily.
• The Certificate of Participation will be issued only to the students who attend all days of the camp.
• Students failing to attend Day 1 of the camp will not be allowed to join in between.
• The University reserves the right to discontinue a student’s participation in the event of non-compliance.
• Students must bring their own laptops for the practical sessions.
Fees
This is a free-to-attend camp.
Transport services may be available but at a cost.

What to expect
Participants will go through workshops on a daily basis.
Workshops will be led by the esteemed faculty members of Curtin Dubai as well as Industry experts.
To put the learnings to the test, there will be a competition on the last day of the camp.

Day 1: Engineering Drawing with AutoCAD (2D & 3D)
Dive into AutoCAD tools and techniques with practical exercises to create professional 2D and 3D drawings.

Day 2: Exploring SolidWorks and AutoCAD 2D Workshop
Get hands-on with SolidWorks and solve AutoCAD 2D drawing challenges in an engaging workshop format.

Day 3: Building Electronic Circuits
Learn the fundamentals of electronics, and build and test real-world electronic circuits in a collaborative environment.

Day 4: Robotics with Arduino
Discover the world of robotics as you build and program your own Arduino-based robots in a fun, interactive session.

Day 5: Sustainability in Engineering
Understand the impact of sustainability in engineering and explore eco-friendly designs and technologies, followed by a demo of cutting-edge engineering projects at DSO.
Instructors

Professor Chithirai Pon Selvan, PhD
Head of School – Science and Engineering
Professor Chithirai Pon Selvan has extensive experience in teaching engineering students and has worked in academia for over twenty-three years. He has published/presented more than 150 research articles in journals and conferences. He has been invited and honoured as keynote speaker, session chair, resource person, and technical committee member of various conferences held in UAE, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Germany, Italy, Australia, and the UK.

Mahesh Nagaraj
School of Science and Engineering
Mahesh Raj Nagaraj holds a Bachelor’s in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and a Master’s in Computer Applications in Industrial Drives in Electrical Engineering, for which he secured a university gold medal. He has over 8 years of experience in teaching and student relations.
