Entry requirements

Admission to the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program is by application and acceptance.

For Business and Psychology Focus

A Master’s degree (Coursework) with a high standard, or a Bachelor Honours degree (first or second class), or a Bachelor's degree with a Graduate Diploma (or equivalent), as deemed equivalent by Curtin University.

For Engineering Focus

A Master’s degree (Research) with evidence of at least a 25% research component (e.g., thesis or research project)

Other Requirements

  • A strong academic background with a demonstrated interest in the area of research.
  • Prior research experience and publications are highly desirable.
  • English language proficiency meeting Curtin University’s admission requirements, such as an IELTS overall band score of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each band, or an equivalent qualification.
