Curtin University Dubai refund policy

Curtin Dubai offers a refund of tuition fees paid for the first semester of enrolment which is subject to the following guidelines:

Registration fee

The Registration fee is non-refundable except under the following circumstances:

  • A 100% refund of AED 3,500 will be given when the admission offer is withdrawn in case the university cannot deliver a unit/course or if an offshore student is unsuccessful in obtaining a U.A.E. student visa
  • A 50% refund of AED 1,750 will be provided where a student provides to the university written notification of withdrawal from the course at least 10 weeks prior to the commencement of the trimester.
  • Where a student provides notice of withdrawal less than 10 weeks prior to the start of the trimester, there will be no refund of the registration fee except as defined above.

Tuition fees

Tuition fees are non-refundable except under the following circumstances:

  • A 100% refund of tuition fees will be given when the admission offer is withdrawn in case the university cannot deliver a unit/course; or if an offshore student is unsuccessful in obtaining a U.A.E. student visa.
  • A 100% refund of tuition fees will be provided to students upon written notification of withdrawal from a course/unit to the Student Affairs Office prior to published Trimester commencement date.
  • A 50% refund of tuition fees will be given where a student provides notification of withdrawal from a course/unit by submitting a completed and signed copy of the Change of enrolment/ Withdrawal form to the Student Affairs Office before the advertised census date of the semester/ trimester.
  • Where a student withdraws from the course/ unit after the census date, there will be no refund of tuition fees except as defined above.
  • Where a student is required to withdraw from the university as a result of academic misconduct or violation of the Code of Conduct, all tuition and other fees remain payable without refund.

*All costs incurred by the university resulting from the collection of past-due fees are payable by the student.

*The refund amount will be a credit to the student’s account and carried forward to the subsequent semester/trimester. Non-returning students will receive a refund within 30 days of submitting the Change of enrolment/ Withdrawal Form.
